What is Rest and Restore

The Rest & Restore Protocol (RRP) is a listening-based approach developed by Unyte that uses specially designed, immersive instrumental soundscapes to support the body’s capacity for rest, restoration, and internal balance. Unlike ordinary relaxation music, RRP is informed by behavioral neuroscience and research into the natural rhythms involved in autonomic regulation and homeostasis—the body’s ongoing process of adjusting and returning toward physiological balance.

The music incorporates carefully structured rhythmic and acoustic elements designed to provide a steady sensory environment for settling and restoration. RRP also emphasizes interoception—our ability to notice and interpret what is happening inside the body—which can support greater awareness of sensations, internal states, and shifts toward rest. Rather than requiring you to actively do something, the listening experience creates an opportunity to slow down, turn attention inward, and notice what your body is communicating.

RRP consists of 10 listening sessions of approximately 30 minutes each. Most listening can take place independently through the Unyte Health app, allowing you to experience the protocol in your own environment while still having professional support available throughout the process.

How Do I Get Started?

STEP ONE

Schedule a 30 minute Consultation & Listening Trial — $125

Required before enrolling in a package.

This will give you a chance to see if the RRP is right for you.

STEP TWO

Purchase the Complete Rest & Restore Package and start the protocol!
Or add on a supportive listening studio to enhance your sensory experience.

Complete Rest & Restore Package | $400

Your RRP experience begins with your individual consultation and listening trial. We'll talk about what brings you to the protocol, relevant considerations, and how to create a listening environment that works for you. You will receive the protocol in your home through the Unyte app.

Your package includes:

  • initial consultation + listening trial (your $125 fee will be applied to the package, making the package $275)

  • RRP app limited access

  • personalized listening plan

  • listening completed independently in your own space

  • midpoint check-in

  • completion check-in

  • brief RRP-specific email support

  • progress summary to an established clinician when requested

RRP can be used alongside psychotherapy at HAVEN, as an adjunct when you have a therapist elsewhere, or as a supported listening experience on its own when appropriate.

Rest & Restore Listening Studio Add-on

Private Studio | $150 per session

Group Studio | $50 per gathering

If you would prefer to complete some or all of your listening in a dedicated environment, optional Rest & Restore Listening Studio gatherings* or private studios may be available.

These listening experiences provide a quiet, thoughtfully arranged space with options such as adjustable lighting, warmth, weighted supports, pillows, bolsters, aromatherapy, light projections, light masks, and comfortable positioning.

*In group gatherings, each participant listens through their own RRP access while sharing the studio environment. You are free to move, change positions, use or decline sensory supports, or simply listen in whatever way feels most comfortable.

Studio listening is optional and is not required to complete RRP.

Because listening responses vary, completion of SSP or RRP cannot be guaranteed. Your package fee covers protocol access, individualized planning, professional monitoring, and support—not a guaranteed amount of listening or a particular outcome. If listening becomes uncomfortable, we can slow down, pause, or adjust the plan. Choosing to discontinue after enrollment does not automatically result in a refund of the package fee.
