Professional Consultation
Individual or Group

HAVEN offers professional consultation and educational opportunities for therapists, healthcare providers, and other caring professionals interested in bringing somatic, relational, and nervous-system-informed perspectives into their work.

Consultation can center on HAVEN’s areas of specialization—including chronic illness and pain, medical trauma, grief and end-of-life concerns, complex trauma, caregiving, and compassion fatigue—as well as HAVEN’s integrative methods of working with clients.

Professional consultation is available individually or in groups. Individual consultation may take place by phone or in person and can provide space to think through complex cases, explore somatic and neuro-integrative perspectives, consider pacing and capacity, or discuss ways of supporting clients whose physical, emotional, relational, and medical experiences intersect. Consultation is collaborative and intended to complement, rather than replace, clinical supervision or discipline-specific medical consultation.

Consultation groups offer an opportunity to explore cases and clinical questions alongside other professionals while learning from shared experience and different perspectives. Groups are offered at various times throughout the year. Please reach out to learn about the day, time, availability, and focus of the current consultation group.

Educational Opportunities

HAVEN also offers classes, workshops, and other educational programs throughout the year. Topics may include specific health concerns and their psychosocial impact, somatic and nervous-system-informed approaches, chronic illness and medical trauma, grief and caregiving, compassion fatigue, and other areas related to HAVEN’s work. Programs can be created for therapists and healthcare professionals as well as organizations, caregiving communities, and other groups.

Educational opportunities are announced throughout the year, and I also welcome requests. If there is a topic you would like to learn more about—or an educational program you would like developed for your organization or community—please get in touch. I am happy to host programs in the HAVEN space or bring them to yours.
