Jennifer Knowles, LPC-MHSP, CCFP
Neuro-Integrative & Somatosensory Psychotherapist
Rooted in science.
Grounded in the body.
Focused on wholeness.
The stories we carry—especially the ones stored in the body—can keep us stuck in cycles of pain, limitation, or disconnection. But with steady support and a safe reconnection to the body, it's possible to move forward with grounded confidence.
This has been true in my own life, as I navigated chronic pain, illness, and grief shaped by trauma. Over time, I came to understand that healing isn’t about erasing the past—it’s about learning to live fully with it, in collaboration with both the emotional and physical self, in the here and now.
Through body-based practices and neuroscience-informed tools, we can learn to stay rooted in the present and more regulated in our bodies. You are not one single story—you’re made of many shifting narratives. And each one is worthy of attention, curiosity, and care.

Current Projects
I’m currently developing a series of group retreats rooted in neuroscience, somatic practices, and experiential healing. My current projects include a comprehensive workbook designed to support individuals living with chronic conditions, blending practical tools with nervous system-informed education. I’m also facilitating specialized groups, including a Chronic Pain and Illness Support Group, a Peri-Menopause Process Group, and Somatic Sundays—a monthly mindfulness-based group focused on gentle embodiment and nervous system restoration. Each of these spaces are designed to foster connection, deepen body awareness, and empower individuals to partner with their inner healing intelligence.
Interests & Activities
I came to this work after twenty years as an arts educator and creative coach, drawn to the powerful overlap between creative expression and the healing process. The language of art—much like the language of therapy—evokes emotion, invites honest reflection, and opens the door to meaningful change. Music, dance, art, and nature continue to be lifelong sources of joy and peace for me. When the weather is cool, I love to kayak on quiet lakes. I'm a big reader although I don't seem to find the time for it often. I'm a bookbinder and artist working in photography, mixed media, and sculpture. I love interior design and I'm always looking for ways to make spaces more restful and cozy. I geek out over ghost stories, mythology, and folklore. I cannot stop organizing and cutting down on all my "stuff". Have you ever read The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning? That is my life practice - letting go of stuff.
